Hi there,
I lost about 100 lbs over 20 months ..and have kept most of it off (95 lbs) over the last 12 months.
Let me share what worked for me.
1. One needs to choose to be healthy . And i mean, really choose ... at a cellular level .. at the level where all of you chooses it. we are after all .. Body - Mind- Emotion - Spirit Holistic Systems.
2. I almost 51 years old. 3 years ago I was on Blood pressure medication . I do not believe in the allopathic system working for human beings. I was determined to stop this medication. I worked with A MD and got off it over 6 months. Its very important to wean yourself off any medication gradually and with professional help.
3. My motivation was to be healthy . The weight loss was to be a consequence of doing all the right stuff.
4. I read a lot on the subject. i still read a lot. I was guided to curezone and to a lot of information. All good. My experience has been.. If you open up to the higher self.. and ask for help ..divine grace follows ..and our guides open the flood gates for us. I learnt that reading on the subject was critical, as it keeps you motivated and on the path.
5. I was clear it had to be done with only Natural methods.
6. My learning was .. I needed a comprehensive lifestyle change. If it was to be enduring .. I just had to leave the old ways behind. I have been largely successful with that..though I must admit i do tend to slip once in a while. And everytime I get off the path..getting back is tough. Falling back to the old ways..is so much easier .. and it does not work.
7. I learnt how the body works. What works and what does not. and then i chose to do the following.
a. I improved my Water. I still am not on distilled water..as I can't find a distiller in the country that I live in.
b. I turned a Vegetarian . Stopped all meat whatsoever 3 years ago.
c. i started cleansing . Did intestinal/bowel cleanses , kidney cleanses and several liver flushes.
d. Started with
The Master Cleanse .. 18 days
5 orange juices fasts lasting between 18 and 28 days.
e. Did Yoga / Pranayam ( Breathing exercises) everyday
f. Stopped all Alcoholic beverages / Pop / refined Flour /
Sugar / salt
g. use
Sea Salt and raw honey
h. Loads of fruit juices/ fruits everyday
i. 10 almonds every morning ( soaked in water overnight )
j. A tablespoon of Triphla everynight disolved in a glass of water.
K. Meditation
l. and have started learning EFT.
I am on no medication whatsoever . havn't had any since i stopped my BP medication in Dec 03.
