I have the same problem when I don not prepare for my fast.
Two weeks before my fast: I eat light stuff like fish, not the prebattered stuff, I look on allrecipies.com and cook my own fish and sea foods. I steat less and less breads and such.
One week before my fast: I eat only fruits and vegi's I may eat a lil seafood at the beginning of the week but I wing myself off of it.
First day of fast I drink a lot of water, If I get hungry I drink more water. The water keeps me from getting hungry.
