wow after reading all this.. i have to ask... is my period normal?

I get my period pretty regularly, and the first day it's sometimes accompanied by major cramps, sometimes dull cramps, sometimes none. My skin usually breaks out hysterically in cystic acne. i also suffer from hair loss and female facial hair. and i'm always incredibly tired and severely depressed. my period lasts for about 4-5 days (when i was younger my period lasted 4-5, throughout high school it lasted 5-6, now it's back to 4-5 and by the way i'm 24 years old). my period is usually a bright red color, and during the second or third day there is this dark red/almost black mucous/jelly-like discharge. also there is some mucous/jelly-like discharge that is lighter in color, almost like a purple color. what is this?.. I, too, notice the bowl is filled with bright red water (which i imagine to be the water mixed with my blood) with pieces of the mucous i just described at the end (gross i know). the first day it's pretty light pinkish in color, the second and third day it is majorly flowing bright red, by the fourth it is a little less flowing, and by the fifth it is usually a brownish discharge until it's done. the flow is pretty constant and heavy and uncomfortable the first few days, so constant that sometimes just getting out of the shower i will notice i stained the bathroom floor mat and towels... is this period normal sounding?
