Re: Healing, Catabolism and Water Fasting

Thank you for sharing your story/testimony. Much of it could have been written by me. I have to agree that pain is pain and no matter what the root of that pain is, it is very real to the one suffering. I think a lot of my low self esteem came from a poor body image, especially during the early teen years. Remember when "Twiggy" was the ideal woman? Its hard for a chubby young girl going through puberty to feel good about herself when exposed to that image. Today girls are still pressured to conform to unrealistic, even unnatural ideals.
In my first Master Cleanse I also experienced euphoria about the sixth day. It was a feeling of well being that I have rarely experienced. I had a similar thing occur during a three day lemon juice and water fast. I was on an emotional high even though my body was weak from a big time cleansing crisis. Although the highs are much better than the lows, I hope to have more balanced emotions after fasting.
I ordered Fuhrman's book and Diet and Fasting For Health. I found a really good price on a used book at Amazon.com. I want to wait and order a hardback copy of "Eat To Live", you and Mike have pretty well convinced me that book will be a good investment. Money is tight, but I figure I can buy the book with what I save on food when I begin the Water Fast :)
