Re: weight training
Today is day 43 of my fast and I lost 35 lbs so far. I had 2
colonics - one on day 3 and one on day 30. I have been doing colon cleansing with herbs from
http://drfostersessentials.com/ for a little more than month and that has been great. My colon therapist says about 8
lbs. give or take a couple
lbs. of my weight loss is waste from the colon and a few
lbs. is water/fluids. I lose about 1 lb a day, some days the scale doesn't move but then the next day it is back to losing 1 lb. a day.
I have not been to the gym yet - I just joined today. About once a week I go out and mow my large lawn which puts me in a good sweat and gets the heart rate up. The days I mow guarantees the weight loss for a few days following. One day I really worked hard on the lawn and must have really dumped alot of toxins into my system as I was nauseous and had a headache. So, when I go to the gym starting tomorrow I will take it slow with the cardio until I see how much I can do without feeling bad. I am hoping to get more weight/body fat to come off faster at the gym and I am planning on doing cardio, aqua aerobics and some light weight training. What I am looking to do is tone and lose fat by buring the fat as energy used in exercise. I am curious to see how much exercise I will be able to handle as when I mow the lawn I have to stop a bunch of times to catch my breath and my heart is really pumping. I can definately tell I am running on "empty" - that is to say I am running on energy/fat stores and not on available energy from food.
I would say my weight loss has been an all over loss. They say the weight comes off in the order you put it on and I can see that being true. I also want to loss my stomach and in my breasts and it has been coming off slowly. I lost in my hips, butt, back, legs, stomach and some in my breasts. So far after 43 days I don't think my weight loss/metabolism has slowed down yet but I would think this is different for everyone based on how much weight you carry and what your body thinks it needs to eliminate. There is supposed to be a set point for the weight that your body is comfortable at. I think part of the challenge is getting to lose weight past that set point. On conventional diets I think this is what they call a plateau. People really struggle to get past plateaus but eventually they do get that last 10 or 15 lbs. off with alot of extra work.
I am absolutely no expert but I would say that juice fasting has been one of the most positive things I have done for my body. I used to have chronic lower back pain and that totally stopped after the first week of juice fasting and just not having that pain anymore is amazing. I look better, my eyes are bright, skin is great, I am losing weight, skin is not sagging, I am full of energy, I don't miss food, I am not hungry, and I look forward to seeing how I look in the mirror after this fast is over. I am hoping to fast at least 90 days and lose as much weight as I can. I can also say that the colon cleansing program I have been doing with the herbs has been amazing. I really feel like I have cleaned out all kinds of old stuff and it is still continuing now with the really old stuff coming out. I am glad to have it out of my body.
I am thinking I will have a blood test around day 60-75 just to make sure I am not anemic or anything like that. Has anyone done this?
Anyway, I hope this continuing success story helps you and I would say that some of my best colon cleansing and noticable weight loss has happened after day 30!
Good luck with your fast!!
