Re: antibiotics

Kenny-

I'm 19 now and I've had a moderate to severe degree of Acne since I was 13. As for the treatments I've used, there haven't been many. Growing up, Acne never really worried me too much, b/c I just assumed that it would pass. But in the past year or two I started to use various treatments with a very small amount of success. Things like proactiv, Benzamyicin, and some cleansers. Lately, however, I decided to take a different approach and look to prevent Acne by regulating my body internally. While I am yet to do any flushes, simply optimizing my diet has done a lot. I've also done other little things like limiting stress and getting a consistent 8 hours sleep each night. One other thing that I do might seem somewhat silly or hard at first but it has helped reduce my acne to almost half. And that is simply not touching my face at all. I have come to the conclusion that a vast majority of the p. acnes bacteria that causes blemishes comes from our hands. It is amazing the number of times that we touch our faces for one reason or another. While I realize that this idea is preventing acne from the source, it really does make a difference for people with acne prone skin. Well I guess I've digressed away from the questions that you asked me so I'll leave it at that. Take care and good luck!
