Nourishing Traditions Ketchup recipe

Hey, I just stumbled across this forum. Wonderful! I just got my copy of Nourishing Traditions about three weeks ago, and am changing the way I cook for my family. It's fascinating.
Anyway, one of the condiments that my kids love is ketchup. So I took a gamble on trying Sally's recipe in the book to replace the beloved Heinz. It was a hit! It really is good! I might recommend cutting down on the cayenne pepper a bit for sensitive little mouths. But I'm so happy to feed my kids something they like that will actually be GOOD for them.

Would also recommend a site called www.sourdoughhome.com for information on making naturally leavened bread. I used his instructions for reviving a slow starter to revive my own neglected starter and am back to making my own bread. I use his whole wheat bread recipe. Just two risings and it's beautiful, light, delicious, whole wheat sourdough bread.

Can't wait to learn new ideas from the rest of you.
