Ultrasound will show only calcium stones in the gall bladder.

Gall stones can also be made of cholestral, and those stones will not show up on an ultrasound.

I do not think any stones in the liver will show on al ultrasound. I had an ultrasound last year and asked the technician what about liver stones, and she actually told me that she had never heard of liver stones. It really did not surprise me, all she knows is what she has been taught by the medical "profession". Translation = cut, burn, and give lots of drugs.
