Hi Vtool , good site , but reading history of chelation , I found several points of issue , #1 is she writes used in 1941 , in Racketeering in Medicine by James P Carter , it states it was used back in 1911 to the 30's ,during the lead mining heyday , if I remember correctly , #2 the practitioners of chelation therapy tried to get it approved as GRAS (generally regarded as safe) [grandaddy clause]through the FDA , but several pharmacutical companies fought this as they had new drugs coming out that would fight infection , and supposedly suppress the lead , coal and cement (black lung)and other mining related illneses......just food for thought , good article and gives another avenue of alternative treatment , plus much cheaper......I would think more about the intravenious then oral as a more direct approach, personnaly , as I would worry about control and amount of absorbtion orally.....plus if I remember correctly this friend only did about 3 intravenious to get results , I think he did some others but at lessening frequency , until he got to a 1 or 2 times a year for maintenence......I have also read it has been used to flush the virus involved with Lyme disease......working for the Nat'l Parks Dept , I was bit , and diagnosed with lyme (my D.O ,was familiar as he had 6 cases allready that year , although the parks dept and missouri health , denied we had lyme in mo. (worried about tourism most likely) although I was contacted by the CDC ,and they helped me get treatment , the parks dept refused to pay for any of it , they stated if I got it , I COULD have got it at home (I own 40 ac and have cattle) but the CDC , got me time off with pay (for doctor visits ,blood work etc)as NPS wanted to dock me and refuse to allow me time to go , I used wife's insurance to help pay......they put me on doxy ------ something , ----cilline , I'd have to look it up ,for 3 weeks , pretty much killed it ,although another ranger came down with it and had to be hospitalized as they denied him also , until he collaspsed.........so when that 6mos contract ended I no longer want anything to do with NPS (nat'l park serv)........just food for thought , that's why I cruise the net looking for info on alternate health , ideas , therapies etc.......Good Luck...
