Very Groovy
Isn't it interesting how all of us are discovering the much wider implications and benefits of detoxing. Spiritually, it simply makes sense. Purity, truth, real-ness, facing your stuff and "peeling your onion" so to speak. The deeper I get into knowing myself, the more connected I become with the universe and the one-ness of everything. And yet, with every new aspect that is shown to me, I never seem to lose my amazement. It's ongoing confirmation that we are in the hands of a larger power who just would like us to GET IT.
Katie - your post sounds as if you think you aren't quite the health nut every one else is. I assure you - many of us aren't necessarily health nuts (on the other hand, Wrenn has some AWESOME natural home recipes!) We're all doing this for the same reason overall, but for different reasons individually and we come from different backgrounds and habits - and everyone is receiving unexpected, unanticipated, and extra blessings from their choice. You are unique and perfect as you are - comparison = self judgment. You're moving forward, and that's the thing.
Quill - you are hanging in there and CHOSE to do take 2, applying what you learned from the first round. How easy it might have been to say, "well it didn't work the first time, so forget it." We define ourselves not only by who we are, but by who we are NOT. Every situation gives us a choice, and we have the opportunity to CHOOSE - or CREATE - who we are in the face of that. And you, too, are moving forward in remembering who you are, and you CAN do anything.
Every time I'm hungry, I contemplate blowing this thing off. That ear detox pain Quill talks of is weird! Feels like the skin on my head is too tight and it makes these sounds like my head is the inside of a conch shell. Going into the grocery store or CVS pharmacy and seeing the food, the racks of candy - I feel like I did 10 years ago when I'd pull an all nighter partying - like your in Plath's Bell Jar, sort of an unreal feeling. I don't even care about eating usually - but when you can't have it - then you choose to remember that you are CHOOSING NOT TO HAVE IT.
And as Julie and - hopinso? were talking about in another thread - after three days, it sort of becomes irrelevant, because you can't eat solid food anyway, so why not keep going?
As Neitzche said, "that which does not kill you makes you stronger" LOL....
keep those posts coming, updates of what's going on - on ALL levels!
blessings -
