Re: Detached analysis vs. involvement

Your last post infers that no one wants to answer your query because it's too heady. Quite the opposite is true.

People are likely not responding because you are trying to set forth a loaded question, meaning that you are inferring that there are so many inconsistencies and that there is no hope to solve the dilemma, and therefore the challenge is...."and just you try to my satisfaction!" It would also seem that you have already decided the answer, and want to lay a snare for 'poor ignorant Bible believers'. So, people likely do not want to enter into a discussion with someone that is not legitimately open-minded and just wants to endlessly argue/debate.

I could be wrong, but that is what I read into your posts. Please explain further if that is not the case, and if so, I apologize.

Firstly, you should ask the One who wrote the Bible. Just ask Him... "IF YOU ARE REAL, THEN WHAT'S UP?? WHY IS THIS CONFUSING?? EXPLAIN IT TO MY SATISFACTION IN A WAY THAT I CAN UNDERSTAND ... IF YOU ARE REAL!"

I have seen countless stories over the years of people who have done just that, and then saw circumstances and events occur that led them to complete understanding and revelation of the things they were needing to know.

Jesus said to ASK, SEEK, KNOCK and keep asking, seeking, and knocking--and the door would be opened to you. That first starts between you and the Creator. I would challenge you to just that - if you are sincere.

If you are not sincere, and just want to argue and debate and attack, then that's a different situation and I'm really not into wasting my time with unprofitable ventures.

You didn't give any clear specifics in your posts, you just leveled a very general accusation, and for that reason most people likely did not see the value in getting involved with this thread (or gave answers that seems scant or cryptic to you).

If I'm wrong, I do apologize. It's very difficult to know someone else's heart and mind thru the written word online such as this. You just can't get all the intonation and nonverbal type communication. They say that 90% of our communication is nonverbal/indirect/contextual and so it's tough when you can't see the other person's facial expressions or body language, etc.

Best wishes! C
