Ayurvedic Numerology
Darn, Tracey, couldn't you have been born in JULY???? LOL!!!! j/k, loved your post. :) It's neat when things co-incide, like numerology with mayan astrology and tarot etc. I jsut love that. :)
Didn't ancient calendars start the new year closer to solstice? I mean, just how accurate IS it to consider Jan 1 the new year? I guess it has to depend in part on one's culture?
In Ayurvedic Numerology they add an extra spin to the personal year vibration: they have you add a certain number based on the DAY of the WEEK that your b-day fell on that year. For instance, if your b-day fell on a sunday, you'd add 1 as Sunday is literally Sun-Day, and the sun is first. Monday, as moon-day, is 2, and the moon does best being represented by 2 so that makes sense, etc.
Oh and thtey say to only take the last two digits of the year! so 2004 would just be 4. Trippy, huh?
Since no one ever remembers what day their b-day falls on I never tried to do personal years this way. But Ayurvedic numerology is excellent for determining health issues and focuses quite strongly on the day you're born, which I like and tend to do myself when I read. I'm very much a 3 so it makes sense to me. :)
