SAFETY: DIABETES? ... Is it safe for Diabetics to do liver cleanse, considering fasting?
> My husband has just been diagnosed with Type II Diabetes and has been on glucatrol about a week. Is it safe for him to go on Dr. Clark's liver cleansing, not eating for about a day and a half?
Bradley,
we are actually talking about avoiding foods for few hours.
Actually, on that cleanse you are suppose to stop eating at 2:00 PM.
So, before 2:00 PM, he can eat any easy to digest fat-free food, that have very low glycemic index.
It should be food without simple sugars, like soup made of vegetables, potato, lean meat, lean fish, salat ...
Soups, lean meat, lean fish and vegetables, ....
But, it would be smart if he do
parasites cleanse first!
And, if he really feels bad (hypoglycemia - low blood sugar), he can take some fat-free home made soup, few hours later. As long as it is fat-free, it will not be negative for the cleanse.
At 6:00 PM. (only 4 hours after last food) he will be drinking magnesium sulfate (epsom salt) and that is like a food. After that, there is no hunger! No one feels hungry after magnesium sulfate.
at 8:00 PM. (only 2 hours after last cup) one more cup of magnesium sulfate , again good substitute for food. Again, no hunger!
at 10:00 PM. he will be drinking olive oil and juice, that is a LOT a LOT of food!!!!!
After that, no-one ever felt hungry (or hypoglycemic)!
Actually, the biggest problem is to digest huge amount of fat.
> He was told never to go over 6 waking hours without eating.
Yes, that is smart.
Most important in avoiding hypoglycemia is to eat foods with low glycemic index, foods that have low content of simple sugars or flour.
Flour and flour products like bread, pasta, ... can cause sever hypoglycemia just a few hours after eating.
Meat and Fish and salads will not cause hypoglycemia.
