In answer to your original question: Assuming you are policing this site in accordance with your own rules for respectable conduct, then no, personal attacks or personally motivated vendettas should not be allowed...it is, of course, entirely up to you whether or not you deem the posts in question to be of this nature, and nothing I or "we" say should alter your own perception. I realise this form of "rule" is somewhat akin to a dictatorship, but the Webmaster and his chosen Moderators must maintain the credibility of the site, using both the written rules and their own personal judgement.

Ideally, this recent farce (Continuum Farce, ha...thank you Thorn) would cease to exist and we could all once again concentrate on aiding others in their quest for perfect health while progressing graciously along our own chosen path.

If you are to open dubious or incoherent matters to a public vote, then the system already in place - that of a Web "master" (what an amusing term) and his Moderators (again, somewhat amusing and occasionally ironic) - is thus rendered obsolete. Do we really yearn for a democracy when so much is grotesquely influenced by mob mentality, or are we content with the system that is already in place (and thus accept its flaws)? And I must also state the obvious: If Moderators are seen to act irresponsibly, then it is your place to moderate the Moderators. I am quite sure that the vast majority would agree with me when I say that this recent spate of ill-feeling would be far better placed behind us.
