Re: Scapegoat

Jasmine,
if you are out there I would really like to dialogue with you. I did a web search for "family scapegoat" and your message was the only hit among dozens that came from the heart of someone who's been there. I am a family scapegoat bigtime. I started running away from home at the age of 13 (I'm 44 now and a single mom). Somehow, I constantly get sucked back in. Now my parents bought a house just a few blocks from me... I do not want to give up the only home I have ever really felt like home in. But at this point its really really getting me down. I need the strength to say no when it its necessary, which is getter harder and harder now that my parents are elderly and frail and in need. Let me know if you can offer some support.. I could use a friend who understands the feelings.
Sincerely,
laluki
