I have done Bikram...personally I don't really like it and feel that the HOT aspect is over-rated. I would say to try it out for yourself but be a little cautious about the room that the class is done in. Some Bikram studios have taken care to use toxic-free building materials and no carpet. But in others you're sweating away in an old carpeted office space with 20 other people. I'd say mould, toxins and dust absorbed with all that steam are not too healthy. I know a number of yoga teachers who tried classes out of curiousity and will not go back fearing in unhealthy. In fact most people I've known who have done it were extremely gung-ho for a while and then all went back to what they were doing before.
