Re: Probiotucs after an Appendectomy?

Oh, dear!

This is the first mention I've noticed about an appendix producing good bacteria.

Some time ago I read that there are more than 400 kinds of beneficial intestinal bacteria.

If this is so, and if one's healthy appendix was routinely removed during another abdominal surgery, how can a person tell what they need?

Does yogurt provide enough kinds of bacteria to compensate for the missing appendix?

(One of these days I'm going to give a certain surgeon such a slap!)
