never think the five tibetan rites are not helpful. if you want to do more than one set of 21 fine it is definitely a pleasure however according to the book and many long time practitioners it is not more effective than only one set daily so i gues the benefits are to be found in simple fact that you do more for your muscles and breathing etc.
i believe a great diference lies in the personal spirit in how and with what thoughts and belief we do these exercises!
