Your statement "It is odd being here after being there!" is interesting. I once had a spiritual teacher ask me "What is your adversion to life?" And of course, the answer was easy, I wanted to 'be there, don't we all that have witnessed. Others, without this experience have nothing to compare with, it is hard for them to understand us, our stories fall on deft ears, did they hear Jesus's sermons two thousand years ago? That's the beauty of sharing, coming together with others 'knowing'. Some think this is the new teaching,direct experience. To say, there is an absolutely loving being that is waiting there-----could this be said 'I now know that this loving being is within me here'--------I am a spark of this loving being, we have witnessed our divine, and our connection in the iniatition experience. And we all have this divine spark, how to awaken to it here is the question. So, haven't we been blessed---This was transmitted telepathically, we responded telepathically, another gift from our NDE.
