Indeed...religion is a weak substitute for the seeing the "godness in everyone." I have walked out of many a church when they start condemning and judging or putting down outsiders. When fear is the conerstone of a religion...it ceases to be "godness" and becomes a power thing. But, I think religion helps some people find "godness." If religion gets anyone to help another outside of their in-group....then it has done a service to humankind. I see godness as love...But it is a constant search...seeing loving intentions, ideas, and thoughts in everyone is my version of "godness."I love what you said about finding the "godness" in everything. I tend to seperate selfishness and addiction as non-"godness" or not-love. God is love or god is love works for me too. What do you think?
