Poor old Abe (he must be spinning in his grave)

I have been following a couple of these threads and I have a few things to add...

First, poor old Abe. He was a flawed man during troubled times.

Interestingly enough, Lincoln's 'burning desire' was simply to keep together the union at all costs. Whether it is good that this ultimately succeeded is open to conjecture, as his 'vision' of America, with a perverse twist, (high jacked by big money, special interests, corporations and the ruling elite) is the form of government that has been handed down to us today.

Perhaps a government recognizing states rights might not have been such a bad thing after all. However that was not to be. The southern states wanted to keep the institution of slavery, yes, however they also wanted to be shorn from the yoke of federal tyranny. (same as today, btw.... some things never change)

Oh well. I doubt the south shall ever rise again!

Had Lincoln not be been assassinated, things might have been somewhat different. He was not a vindictive man, and he might have been able to pull the union back from the abyss. However, with his death, (planned and carried out by the Warburg and Rothchild bankers) the special interests and international money lenders soon gained control of this country and haven't given it up yet.

A couple of things. The slaves were originally emancipated by Lincoln in the 1863 decree (aimed at the confederate states) largely as an economic wartime ploy. Lincoln did not believe in slavery but would have allowed it to continue save the union. Emancipating the slaves, (13th amendment) led to the creation the 14th amendment ....making the now stateless disenfranchised ex slaves citizens of the federal government. The several states didn't want them, so they became property of the Feds.

Most people don't realize it, but that led directly to the condition we face today... namely that most people now are no longer citizens of their states, but are simply straw men (property of the corporation of the United States of America).

But that's a different story.

Anyway, most northern soldiers that weren't drafted in the civil war died defending their idea of 'the union'. Emancipation of the slaves was an never a major cause of the American civil war and only became an issue well into it.

Lastly, the soul is immortal. It evolves by incarnating lifetime after lifetime on it journey back to the source of all things. Abortion is certainly not be the best way to promote birth control, (far from it) however the soul of that 'innocent little baby' was not murdered. It will simply choose another time and place to manifest.
