Re: My son is congested...help

You did not mention your son's age. My children were used to feel very comfortable while having a castor-oil compress during fever, and they never stayed sick or in fever more than one night after having CASTOR OIL COMPRESS: 1-2 Tbs if the child is small.. more if the child is older than 4-5. Poor the oil over the navel/liver area and leave a hot-bottle onto the oil. Between the oil and the bottle wrapped in a towel, you should use a wool-flannel cloth. Pure wool is a possible replacement if you have nothing else in the house.. if the child is small wool could itch a little.

Leave the compress on as long as the child is comfortalbe with it.. 3-6 hours is not unusual.. or leave even over night if put on late. Bedsheets and clothes should be protected. Use something old, this oil is not washable, you should trow the used compress away. Never give castor-oil to drink, even if grandmother would suggest it!! WHEN YOU TAKE THE COMPRESS OFF (NEVER LEAVE IT ON LONGER THAN 8-9 HOURS) YOU MUST WASH THE OIL VERY WELL AWAY, Use a sponge or cloth, warm water, mild soap or natron in the water. Or read more about Castor Oil compresses here at Cure Zone if you feel unshore.

Conserning your childs diet:
Give your child good quality oil's given in foods; Udo's choise, Coconut oil, Flax-seed oil, Almondbutter or maybe Hempseed-oil. Mix small amounts 1-2 teaspoons as a routine in porriges, ricemilk or oatmilk - COW'S MILK IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

If calves were given homeogenized and pasterurized milk as new-born, not many would survive!! Be careful with sugar! Don't let your child get used to raffined Sugar too early in life! Use ricemalt, barleymalt, sometimes apple- or pearjuice, grape, raisin, prunes or maple Sirup Grade C.

White raffined sugar, cooking-salts (always use sea-salt)! Margarine (hydrogenated fats are simply THE WORST FOR HUMAN BEEINGS)! Never fry foods or use this as daily intake. WHITE FLOUR is never recommended, especially for nursing mothers.

IT IS NOT TRUE THAT PEAS, ONION OR CABBAGE COULD MAKE THE CHILDS STOMACH SENSITIVE, BUT it is always the combinations of sweets, too much sugar, refined foods, bad quality salt, soft drinks and limonades, (in some coffee).. (or cold cows-milk)! TOGETHER WITH MAIN MEALS that often gives the child of a nursing mother problems.

Please see earlier reports that I wrote about childbirth and nutrition.

Read about your childs or your own blood type while choosing the right diet for both of you, maybe combined with metabolic typing to get good indications of eat right for your type to avoid pain and problems. See that your child drink enough water. A glass of CLEAN purified water should always be available.. if you still breastfeed, you give your child fennel-tea, camomill-tea or only water (never too cold)!

Wait strictly until your child is 6 months old to feed anything but breast-milk! WATCH CAREFULLY WHAT YOU ARE EATING DURING THIS TIME, TAKE CARE ABOUT YOURSELF. Your child is healthy on mothersmilk, and don't need antything else the first 6 months if you have a balanced diet, and get all needed vitamins and minerals while feeding him.

Use a silver-spoon when you feed your baby. Give him apple grated with the silver-spoon in the evening if he don't feel to eat anything else and feels sick.

STOMACH MASSAGE s a wonderful thing for pregnant, infants and children or adults.. A wonderful and helpful easy treatment for anyone having digestive problems, even headaches or any other uncomfortable feeling.

There is a point about 2 finger under the navel, you should tell your child to take a deep breath.. blow up his stomach.. and while he breath out, you press the point very, very light! Repeat this a few times, or stimulate this point very light in children who are to small to communicate your explanations. After a few minuts, you turn your child over laying on his RIGHT side (always right side first)! In this position, he must bend his left knee, with left foot placed about on the right knee, then bend the knww over the right leg that is placed straight laying down.
Before the knee touches the ground, you must place one of your hands with your fingers folded, into a point placed towards the intestinal regio under his hip-bone. When the child breaths in, you keep your hand quiet. When he breads out, you press your light folded fingers twice into the point. Repeat this a few times, then change side. ALWAYS left side at the end with exactly the opposite movement.

This massage-treatment is of cours easier to do if you have seen it once. But if you have any questions, please let me know, and I could explain it to you during a phone-consultation.

Those things are some of the most natural and caring things you can do for your sick child, almost in any condition, and the children will enjoy it. To do the stomach treatment different, you could replace it with a round cup placed around the childs navel, tye it with the opening onto the navel with a soft scarf, belt or similar, and let the child lay down on his back with it.

To fastly get rid of a cold, give your child filled in capsules or on a silver-spoon, grape-fruit-kernel-exstract. In a small child, some drops is enough. Blood type O does always respond very well to this, especially if given just before the cold/flue is broken out! Buy yourself a macrobiotic cookingbook and learn how to cook nishimes (long-cooked-root-vegetables)for your child you can cook them and then mash it up in a baby-food mill. The warming root vegetables will do wonders in a childs congestion, or is also magic food for nursing mothers. Mochi is another nursing favorite made from sweet-brown-rice, mashed up and rolled in sesamseeds or almonds. Gives strengt too nursing mothers or weak children.

A strong LONG TIME cooked "old-fashion" vegetable, fishsoup or meat-brooth will do good WONDERS to weak and sick children. Find receipes online (dr Schulze), in grandmothers kitchen, or buy a macrobiotic cooking book for basic 5-element understanding about how food and nutrition has a great influence on our organs, especially when we are feeling weak. There's a lot of easy home-remedies in your kitchen or in your garden. Hope my message will give your child some help.

Best regards from lilliAn
