Re: I had my baby

OK, so I should have read the full thread to avoid multiple posts, I apologize.

Years ago, I walked into a friends' home for some church party gathering, and there on the floor was a beautiful little 6 month old scooter, whom I scooped right up, like it was natural. The hostess was amazed! The little girl did not let others pick her up, normally, but here I was holding her, peacefully! The father was in the backyard, and the mother wanted to take the child for his sake, as he wanted to hold his daughter desperately, yet the child shunned him, and here I was holding the child with mom 3 feet away looking and talking with us, and the girl was fine with me holding her.

I gave the child to mom, and never mentioned it to my friend, as there is no reason to harm him in some way regarding this. Children love me, and they have always have, that is no reflection on dad.

The other poster is correct, the baby has nothing but needs now, and they are 99% wrapped up in you. Do all that you like, and let the other adults suffer, their time will come. You'll be more than a fine mother. This child is barely getting over 9 months of being inside, and 2-3 weeks of outside. In a few days its eyes may open!!

(We had a maid overseas when I was 10 who excitedly told us she went and saw a 5 day old baby who already had its eyes opened!! We still laugh at that. She was from an agricultural area, and was relating the baby to pets, and the delay in kittens and pups opening their eyes.)
