So many couples have the same problem as you. You state that maybe you think he doesn't love you if he loses his erection. People that DESIRE a SERIOUS relationship, and you seem to, need to be mentally connected before they get horizontal. You need to become good friends first. Then if he loses his erection, there is an understanding about it and other stuff instead of guessing.
So, the only advice I'd give you is talk to him at the table, not after sex, and get to know him. See if he is the one you would like to hang around with on a serious level. When that time comes, and you are sure, then you can relax.
The condom could break. Then,if you should get pregnant, and you could, is he going to be there for you, or out the door like a rocket? Is he going to wander? Would he want to live with you and pay bills?
Having sex is a serious issue today and should not be left up to chance. Medical bills are huge.Insurance premiums are staggering. There is much more to lose than a simple erection. An inconvenient pregnancy could change your life.

But,as far as an erection is concerned, do more manual foreplay gently on him...then slip on the condom.
