Re: Abused during Ayurvedic massage in India
Hi Emma,
I think as the other poster said, this one is your call, but I will say that this type of massage is not necessarily "abuse". It is in fact an ancient form of tantric healing. However! The most important part about this is that you, the patient, is comfortable with it, and is in fact enjoying it. If you are not enjoying it, either physically or psychologically, then it will not be having the correct healing effects, so it is not advisable. As for him getting stimulated by the massage too, this is all part of it and he is using his own alcohols to help change things in your body, it is a very powerful technique, but not for the unwilling. He may also request a degree of participation from you as well, I would not take this as abuse as it is all part of the technique. If you do end up writing a book on this man's work, I would be very interested to read it! If not, then good luck with your life and healing, and try not to look at what has happened to you as abuse, this will only make it harder for you, but by all means do not submit to something you are not comfortable with.
In ancient tantra the idea of healing, is that it should be pleasurable, and the genitals are not made exception of, as in Western/Christian culture, they are seen as a very powerful part of the whole, and to be viewed without fear or shame, as it is this shame in itself that can lead to many illnesses.
