Re: mirena coil cured endo symptoms

I am twenty three years old and was diagnosed with endometriosis and a hormonal imbalance four and a half years ago. Since that time, I have tried everything from traditional medicines/hormones/surgeries to alternative chinese/holistic/natural remedies. After all of these proved hopless, my OBGYN suggested that I try the Mirena Coil. I was hesitant at first to have a foreign object placed into my uterus but decided that it could be the silver lining seperating me from the anticipated hysterectomy. Due to the severe damage from the endometriosis, my doctor chose to implant it in the OR under general anistheptic. I had the procedure done on Novemeber 1 2004 and have been bleeding and cramping ever since. (It is now March 17'05). I was honestly hopeful that this would work, but now that hope is fading fast. I'm so discouraged. I don't understand why nothing I have tried has worked. Can anyone relate to this or suggest anything else?. Anything would be helpful right now!
