mirena coil cured endo symptoms

I was diagnosed at 18, some three years after attending my GP with symptoms including awful pain, flooding; and having been advised that i was just going through what all girls go through. I was eventually referred to a consultant, and tried every treatment going including for starters, the pill, depo provera, provera tablet form,laser laparoscopy. I suffered years of pain, depression( which i connect to the provera), and was completely miserable. Since having a mirena coil fitted some 3 years ago now, my symptoms have all but gone( as have my periods!) I feel like i have my life back. It worked for me! I am now 27 and obviously concerned about what will happen if i decide to think about having a family. The thought of having to revert to my pre mirena days terrifies me, but one step at a time i guess! Tweet
