maybe mention every so often throughout the conversation that you thoroughly enjoy teaching your child and that it is very fulfilling, or that when you are sitting there teaching your child that you just feel so immensely proud of him/her.

i don't homeschool my daughter because i have to work full time to make ends meet. i would really like to homeschool her for all the reasons i have mentioned above and also because i honestly believe in a lot of cases that in a classroom you have children who are each at their own individual level in the class. there is only one teacher for all the children and it makes sense that the teacher can pretty much only teach to the "average" student and it would seem quite likely that those children who are above or below the learning average in that class are not going to get the full attention or the stimulation that they need. just my thought on the subject....
