fasting to get rid of ADDn like symptoms
i am posting on fasting forum "fasting for weight loss" eventhough i don't need to lose weight in order to "lose" my ADD like symptoms which have been devastating for many years. i want to stop
1) losing things
2) mismanaging my time
3) stop the spinning around in circles that my mind does
4) prevent the "catastrophizing"
5) stop obsessing about what "other people think"
etc etc etc
i am not only all those things above
i have a lot of other characteristics that i actually like about myself but they seem to always be eclipsed by the ADD symptoms
i have read a ton of excellent books regarding this and even had a support group (in person} for a while as well. has anyone else tried fasting to relieve ADD symptoms? i have done many short ones in the past. and a few relatively long ones. they have helped but then when i got off the fast, it would start all over again. well, i need to focus now cuz i have to undertake a lot of projects. juice fasting is going to be the best thing for me right now. its not a big deal for my physically but it is a BIG DEAL for me EMOTIONALLY and MENTALLY. well, wish me luck. if you want to see what my progress is .. just go to the site mentioned above and any support would be appreciated. my kudos goes out to
Thom Hartmann who wrote "ADD a new perspective" and also the guy who wrote "Managing the Gift"... both have a refreshing perspective on the ways to "channel" the gift of ADD which i feel is a misnomer because everyone knows that people with "ADD can also hyperfocus like no ones business! smile
