Yes, I am aware of the quotes. I have misplaced my copy of The Spiritual Notebook and I’m going to assume the quotes as you have them are correct. My earlier comments giving my experience of the ECK teachings encompasses reading of the ECK works--as you would expect, in the full context of entire books.

Just a little aside here, because I couldn’t find my copy of The Spiritual Notebook, I looked it up in the Study Guide where it mentions that Whatever your religious belief, The Spiritual Notebook can inspire the beginning of your own inner journey.

For me the ECK writings are a tool to spiritual self-discovery. ECK spiritual exercises are another tool I use them to help me get answers to questions and help solve problems.

I personally know people who copy spiritual exercises off of www.eckankar.org and regularly use them--and they never become a member. Public libraries often have copies of ECK books. Interested people can find these tools without spending a cent. OK, if you don’t count the parking ticket I’ve been known to get when I go to the library.
