Apart from killing off the virus, you may also need to look for therapy to repair the damaged liver. I am no doctor, as I have repeated many times over, but I know that liver cells will not regenerate what you have lost.

If your liver has developed cirrhosis, it will lead to an inability of the liver to perform its biochemical functions. Please take note that these biochemical functions are extremely important for other internal organs to function properly.

What I have heard is that, milk thistle is good for liver protection as well as promoting hepatocytes (roughly speaking, liver cells) regeneration. Another one is Alpha-Lipoic Acid.
