you are correct males do not exist in this species. Some parasitologist debate even if there are eggs, that the adults actually shed infective larvae rather than eggs.
also, its almost IMPOSSIBLE to diagnose by standard ova parasite tests.
usually it is diagnosed by larvae in the sputum.
they do have a blood antibody test for it but there's little literature as to its accuracy.
