Wow...do we ever need someone like you as a doc! With your experience with herbal and meds as parasite treatment, and understanding the complications of treatment. I get the feeling that the treatment of parasites (both traditional and alternative), is not all that well understood. I don't know if this is the case or not, but I've had a very hard time getting any guidance on it (when there's a heavy infection)...but that may just be my luck too, I don't know. And especially with medicine, doctors would not believe me. I had the same thing as you, for years, it was just eosinophilia and a tendency to anemia. That was about 15 years ago for me too. Now, the eosinophilia is still there, of course, but many, many more symptoms of parasites. Wow...there was a time a couple years ago, I was practically non-functional because of it. I'm sorry for what you're going through too...these things are wicked to have, and the reactions in trying to evict them are bad. I still have trouble tolerating the herbs because of panic attacks and episodes of difficulty breathing. I end up stopping the herbs and continueing with very slow bowel cleansing....and then try again. It's been like this for a long time. I really wonder how much of an effect I've had on them...I think not much, although all the natural stuff I've been doing has helped my general state quite a bit.

You say people have died from allergic reaction, or parasite die off, from taking the parasite drugs...that's what I'm afraid of. I've searched medline for articles on adverse reaction to parasite drugs, and I usually don't find what I'm looking for...yet, intuitively, I know this must be a possibility. Is it septic shock that's the most common reaction, or allergic that people die from? Would this be avoided if measures were taken at the same time as the drug to conteract them, or would it not make much of a difference if the reaction is too severe anyhow? I don't know if I took other things along with a drug, if it would be safe for me....but I can't imagine doing it still...it still scares me too much. I've also read of children dying from intestinal obstruction after taking the drugs, but I don't know if this happens with adults.

I already get hives and difficulty breathing just from taking herbs, and I know my parasite load is very high. Sometimes I really wonder if these things are going to kill me. It's a very difficult problem to treat...little did I know years ago, when I thought I could make a few diet changes and take some herbs and be done with it in a month or so.

Anyway...thanks for sharing here...you have so much to offer. I really hope for your recovery too.
