New to this and worried about being conned (long)
Hello - I've been lurking and reading for a few days, and I wonder if any of you more experienced than me (which is not hard) can help me with a couple of questions?
a bit of background: I've always had a history of bowel problems such as constipation, bloating, IBS type symptoms, and as well as that, I've always had skin problems. a couple of years ago I was told I had Rosacea on my face, and the topical
Antibiotics help a little, but I still break out every time I have any dairy. (not just my face, but my arms too). I'm also told fairly often that I look sallow, yellow, or green. lovely. I steer clear of dairy diligently and don't get the rashes quite as badly as I used to, but I've been feeling for a few years now that there was something slightly wrong, maybe with my liver or something. I have bms 1ce a day if I'm lucky, even though I take metamucil and drink a LOT of water, and I have a pretty good diet plus all sorts of vitamins, calcium and acidophilus, mostly "whole" foods, veggies, a little meat but it's organic, certainly no fast food. I do eat a lot of sushi though... or I should say I did before this week (now i'm a little scared)
A friend of mine told me she'd had
colonic hydrotherapy, and I immediately asked for a referral, and went last week. It was interesting... I'm not used to doing that in public so it was quite the leap of faith, lol! I'm due for my second which is supposed to get more encrusted stuff this week. I definitley feel more energetic and cleaner, not so much in my bowels but in my muscles, and my head's less fuzzy. That night I was more tired than I had been in a while, and I slept like a baby. So I'm looking forward to the next one. I was only disappointed that what came out looked like what I could have pood out in a week all by myself - so I'm hoping that the 2nd one will be more exciting.
While I was there she started telling me about parasites. I had NO idea this could be a problem, and here's where I'm looking to your expertise because I'm a little worried about being conned into spending quite a lot of money.
She told me that in her opinion,
parasites are the number 1 human disaster. From my research since then, I've come across quite a few articles that support this, but they are all on product websites.
The place I went to offers this microscopic blood analysis, and has its own
parasite cleasing product containing
Black-Walnut hulls, pumpkin seed, cloves, garlic and fennel plus a bunch of other ingredients, and it comes with a fiber supplement. I'm concerned that they're going to charge me an arm and a leg for the blood analysis, which will no doubt tell me that I definitely need to take the
parasite cleanse, which will cost my other arm and leg.
On the one hand, I can see that
parasites are a fairly common problem, and that my symptoms seem to point to that as a possibility, but on the other hand I'm worried about being taken for a ride.
Do 85% of us really have worms inside us that are harming us?
Does what the clinic offers sound normal?
Thank you for your help! I truly appreciate the fact that you are all sharing so much, it can be difficult to find info that isn't tied to a product.
