Any food that is ingested should be cleaned properly, vegetable or meat. I always wash my foods in either Colloidal Silver soak, (5ppm, homemade), or a 1.5% hydrogen peroxide soak, or 2 gallons of water with 1 Tbsp of chlorine bleach (least perferred method but easiest). I soak the food for 15 minutes, then put in clean rinse water soak for 15 minutes. Foods last much longer in the fridge when you do this.
parasites live in the soil where veggies are grown, and need to be KILLED on the produce, not just ineffectively washed off.
I don't think it much matters who has the most parasites, as long as they know how to avoid and deal with infestation.
