Excellent advice in the previous posts. The liver and the gallbladder work together and what helps the liver helps the gallbladder.

Also, make sure she drinks a LOT of fresh, filtered, pure WATER. Don't let her have soft drinks/colas and Sugar added or artifically sweetened fruit drinks, and limit other drinks like tea (except a little green tea.)

Many herbs help strengthen the liver (and the kidneys, which also help 'flush' toxins out.) Some have been mentioned in other posts, other really good ones are burdock and dandelion as well as sassafras, sarsaprilla, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, and licorice (not the anise flavored "licorice candy'.) Just remember that all herbs should be taken in moderation and that children especially should not take large doses or take any for more than a week at a time without 'resting' at least 3 or 4 days off. Maybe find some good herbal teas and switch them out every 3 or 4 days. You can also add many of the herbs to your regular foods, like ginger and turmeric.

If it's available to you, see if you can give her as much Watermelon as she can eat. It's wonderful for helping the kidneys and bladder and may help eliminate some toxins that are bothering her.

Try to make sure she gets a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains and limit or completely eliminate the toxic chemicals that get added to foods as supplements or flavor enhancers.
