Re: Enemas AND STRANGE SIGHTINGS IN TOILET anyone know what this can be??
Hi Mage, after rereading my prior response to your posting I realized it wasn't completely accurate. I said:
Saline solution (1 teaspoon sea salt or regular table salt to each pint of plain water) is what is called isotonic. It neither draws water out of your system nor results in water being absorbed into the colon from the enema.
That last sentence should read: "It neither draws water out of your body, nor results in water being absorbed into your body via the colon from the enema."
In other words, an isotonic solution is neutral. After complete evacuation of the enema, your body should contain the same amount of water as beforehand, except for any water that was part of the eliminated waste matter that was already in the colon.
Contrast that to a Fleet enema which is hypertonic and works by drawing water out of the cells lining the colon by the process of osmosis. Plain water is hypotonic>, and as a result is absorbed into the body during an enema.
