Edema and Enema question

I am doing the coffee enema about once a week for starters, in the mornings. I noticed by the afternoon of the same day that I had edema in both my hands, abdominal area (which I can understand), hips and thighs. The same the following day, but more in my hands than the day of the enema, and also my face especially around my eyes. Less in the ab, hips and thighs. The edema lasts a full day after the enema. Is this normal?

I do a plain water first, then a bag of coffee, then plain water. I read that you should do it 'til it is just clear water being expelled. Yesterday it took 5 bags and 3 1/2 hrs. 'til it was clear. (the last one I add a probiotic) Feel like an overcooked piece of spagetti when I'm finished. I don't always expell all of the water either at first "go". I have to message my ab and back until it is all released. I'm following the directions, but not sure if I'm doing this correctly.

Is it possible for some of the fluid to be retained and that's what's causing the edema?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Mage
