freezing vegetables

Hi HH!

Well...I just asked my friend here (who is a chef) about your question and she says that you can preserve raw vegetables by blanching them (dropping them in boiling water for 1 minute) then freezing them in bags. BUT, unfortunately, when you defrost them you won't be able to eat them raw...they'd only be good for cooking. So! She suggests that you make a big soup with your veggies and freeze that. hmmmmm....

When I came off the MC....on Day2 I had a big milky coffee as a 'treat' with my friend (I usually take my coffee black)..well! That did not sit well at all. I didn't feel sick....but I just felt tired and sluggish. ugh. Later I had some whole wheat bread and, wow, that didn't sit well either. It sure was an eye opener! Now I eat spelt bread on occasion....and don't drink milk at all. I seem to tolerate feta cheese and goat cheese well...and the occasional haagen daaz ice cream! ha. (can't give it all up - and I swear it makes me feel good!)

It's great you're finding out what your body likes and dislikes... excellento!
