by sludge, I guess that's that scummy looking stuff that is part of the liver flush. If I was you I would do a few Liver Flushes and then go to the doctor and see what he says (don't tell him what you are doing)
It would be great if you would share the results with us. I've seen way too many people on this forum who have had their gall bladder taken out, had the same pain they did before and severly regretted listening to their doctor.
