a question for any christian

Hello to all...I want you all to know my question is with much sincerity and respect for you religion. I am jewish however I like to understand all religions. My question is why have some christians told me that I am unacceptable in the eyes of g-d because I am a Jew. They say that g-d loves me but cannot help me unless Jesus is my savior when Jesus himself was a Jew.

Any clarification of this would be greatly appreciated. :)
