Re: Frustrated and angry
Hello,
This is the first time I've ever become a member of a forum (I've never even used ICQ). I happened to come across this forum looking for opinions or how to rid the body of toxins.
After seeing the subject line, I started to read all the replies & responses. Have any of you read the Bible (old & new tsmt) from beginning to end? It's not the doom & gloom alot of people make it out to be. I've been thru alot of crap in my life and will probably go thru a few more rough patches before I'm gone. But none of it was or will be God's fault. Some of the bad things that happen are because we do it to ourselves. We allow evil and negativity into our lives and then we want to put the blame on someone or something else for the repercussions of our actions. Again, God is not the cause but he/she/it has reasons for allowing a situation to occur.
Our reaction to a problem will make a huge difference in the outcome. Negative attitudes produce negative results. God will help you if you are sincere in serving him. Try going to your local Church/Temple. They will want to help you and eventually you will want to help others too. Volunteering is another way to bring positivity into your life. Somewhere down the road when you need a favor, one of these people will be glad to help. There will be times when you think you've done everything right but it still doesn't go the way you wanted. Well...sometimes it's a blessing in disguise. I've had that happen a couple times.
God has a purpose for everyone and a reason for everything. God is all knowing and already knows what we need before we ask it. One way of looking at life is to see yourself as a ship. If you are at point A, only God knows where point B is. What happens to your ship is up to you. Keep in mind that all of your choices, actions or reactions will cause many ripples for other ships. God will not force you in any direction. You need to be in constant contact with him to help navigate. Otherwise that little red Devil will look like a beacon leading to stormy weather.
I hope this analogy makes sense. There isn't a therapist out there that can change your past. Frustration and anger will only ruin your future. You'll know when God's Holy Spirit is working....solutions will become clear, another person's need will take precedence over your own, your intuition is stronger, good and bad vibes will be more prominent, you'll feel comforted when you ask for the Holy Spirit to surround you and fill your heart and mind. These are just a few signs. For myself, the biggest part of God's presence is sincere love, compassion and forgiveness. I'm no where close to being perfect, but for some reason I don't think that God judges us quite the same way we judge each other.
Again, pls don't be angry with God. Remember that there is a Devil and it's goal is to lie, steal and destroy.
I'll be thinking of you and praying for you. Will chk in now and again to see how you're doing.
