Don't try and resolve your dissonance that way - its not exactly a searching critique of the paper. You can't refute the Lancet paper on scientific grounds- its as simple as that. You just don't want to accept its conclusions, so you try to discredit the Lancet as a whole. That may play well to the class clowns but it is not a valid rebuttal.
Basically you don't know how to synthesize information in a logical fashion. The Lancet paper is only one part of a jigsaw which proves the green blobs are soap. But you can only resort to Conspiracy theory. Well there's no argument with that. Have Conspiracy theories all you like - but don't bother me with them. I find them tedious.
