Re: Continually constipated on 1 p&b
Hiya Jess! What exactly are you taking for the pinworms? I think that must have a lot to do with it. Also, since you mostly only ever had unformed, soft, watery stools, that tells me that your colon has been very weak for a very very long time, and it takes awhile for it to get stronger.
REtaining enemas for a long time and massaging the colon, will certainly help. I think you should actually up the number of P&B shakes that you take, and be careful to cut out all senna and cascarda type laxatives, as they will also weaken your bowels over time. As an alternative, find a fruit-based laxative, which are usually in pill form. One famous remedy is Ayurvedic, called "Triphala." It will actually strengthen the bowels.
If you continually had thin stools, that means you have impactions and very tight areas in the colon. The fiber is exercising these areas and probably getting stuck because it's taking off layers of slimy mucous. In order for the unhealthy mucous to leave and be replaced by healthy mucous, you've got to do more fiber and enemas.
After you find Triphala or something similar, try doing 2-3 P&B shakes a day, and enemas only every-other day. The fiber will also help with the
Acne breakouts.
I don't usually recommend
coffee enemas since they are hard on the adrenal glands, but since you exercise regularly etc., I think one wouldn't hurt. The rest of the time, do plain water/sea salt enemas, and occasionally supplement them with a couple tablespoons of bentonite, or Chlorophyll.
Also, if you're using an enema bag, consider buying an enema bucket setup. Bags only hold enough water to cleanse the last part of the colon nearest the rectum, they rarely get fluid up to the transverse colon. An enema bucket holds a liter or two of water so when done right are about as good as a colonic. You can find plenty of models online for as low as 30 bucks! :)
Another thing to consider is how much bile your liver is releasing. Bile induces peristaltic action. If I pig out on real buttered popcorn I have PLENTY of BMs the next day! LOL! So try taking a tablespoon of good olive oil 3x a day, right before meals or snacks, and see if that helps. If your stools are yellow or clay-colored, rather than medium to dark brown, chances are you're not producing enough bile. Liver supporting herbs will really help with this.
Hope that helps! :)
