Primal Defense and psyllium question

Hi everyone. Recently I stopped taking psyllium because I've been on it for a while and I read that it can be too rough and shouldn't be taken over long periods of time. I am wondering if this is really true? Has anyone here been on psyllium for really long periods of time? Since I stopped the psyllium and switched to flax my BM's have been pathetic and I am not feeling as good. I still have 2 BM's per day but they are small and all broke up. Plus it still feels like I have to go but nothing comes and I am getting sore again in that area. I want to switch back to psyllium and use it everyday for the rest of my life. Do you think that would be ok? The most I would take would be 2 teaspoons daily. Also, I am considering trying Primal Defense and was wondering what your experiences were with it and whether it's worth the price? Thanks everyone!

Nicole
