Yes, not only the Cherokee but also the Lakota and some other tribes, and the Japanese make a point of retracting the foreskin as soon as it is able (but NOT prematurely forcing it). If kept retracted, it stays clean and healthy, and enjoys the benefits of actual circumcsion without the risk, cost or pain. But don't take this two month age as a strict guide. It may not become naturally seperated and retractable until age 3 - 5 for 90% of all normal boys and as long as age 10 for the last 1 percent. Note I said "normal" boys; of course there are exceptions.
