God told Abraham in Genesis if you really care to know. It was a covenant made between the two. If you care to know more about it, read it yourself. If it was such a bad thing, why would God insist upon it? It's not necessary now, I agree nor was it necessary then, but it's not bad if you do. It's much worse for a man later on in life to endure the pain of it if he did chose to do it then. What exactly would he be missing if it was done as a baby? He would never know the difference later on. He would also never have to endure infection if he was to not clean himself properly. Just my thoughts. You're free to your own but I don't see the big deal. My son was done and neither him or I had a problem with it and it saves him from having to or wanting to do it later on and he'll never know the difference from having it or have anything to compare to. It's not that big a deal.
