well yea in a panic situation of life or death, then a survival instinct kicks in for anyone. But how often in life does that come around? I'm talking about every day life, regular interactions with your family members and others who you associate with. We humans are not usually in catastrophic situations, and selfishness does nothing to fill anyone's heart with joy because that is not how we were hardwired. Sorry, I think you're logic is on very shaky ground here. But that's just my opinion. S
