Re: Is anyone here a working artist?
Oh Sofia, I know.
But here's the thing. My son is my greatest creation. When he was that age, my whole world revolved around his delight. I totally had to work around his schedule.
He is 14 now, and he is very creative and artistic. When he was more manageable, he got to see his Mom in her "creative" state, and I truly believe there is some genetics involved. He gets that altered sense of universe, where creativity rules. He's very mature for his age, and I think that my artistic insanity has helped make him so. Your child is in for a wild ride when they are aware of what Mom is doing.
He's a wonderful little man (Little? He's 6' and has a deep voice, he carries my heavy stuff, listens to the most horrible heavy metal music, and has hair down the middle of his back, like the seventies) I know what you mean, and it won't be long before your child let's you be. But this is an intense age, and I didn't have any relief until he was 5 years old!
You've got a lot on your plate. And I know you've probably heard this before...enjoy it while they are this age, because one moment you will turn around and they are six feet tall, and arguing politics and religion with you!
And sneak away and paint as much as you can!
Much Love, Molly
