Re: ANYONE has answers to these questions??
1. the set up is that this is a school, or even more appropriate analogy, a womb. part of what is needed in gods children is free will. what is needed in order to have free will is self control. what is needed to develope these things is experiencing the consequences of our actions and choices.
god does not hurt us - we hurt ourselves and each other. very sad indeed, but obviously necessary. god is just and will judge every one and make everything right. our situation is quite temporary. compare a hundred years to infinite time - this aint nothin, baby.
2. the message god intends us to have is contained in the bible. it is not easy to see it for all of the obscuring done by those who claim to know what it means. the only way to know for sure is to ask god himself. god wants those who seek him. very few people seem to really want that. they just want to save their own butts.
3. there is only one god. he is spirit. he created everything we know of and everything we dont. to the material world he is an all consuming fire. no man has ever seen god. the rest has been made up by man. there is no trick here, no devil to make you do it, no satan with a pitchfork, no serpent running around with a 666 tatoo. there is god and his creation. there is who you are and the body that contains you. there is the spirit and the flesh. that is the war and it is internal. if it feels good do it is the mantra of the flesh. you reap what you sow is the mantra of the spirit. you can see the conflict there, cant you?
